That way it's a guarunteed I will be a famous comic. If you don't believe me take Pauly Shore's word for it (who by the way gets stage time in LA because his mom owns the club, not for his talent.) YOu tell them Weeeezzzle!
I thought charlie murphy got work because he's Eddie Murphy's brother and that got him on Chapelle's show which made him a household name. Pauly Shore was a household name, but starring in terrible movies probably doesn't sell many tickets or convince producers to ask you to be in their new project.
